Phishが初めての休眠に入り、
Trey のソロ活動がスタート。
この年の 8 月には、
私もバークリーに Show を観に行ったので、
今回の Archive を購入した。



久しぶりにこの年の音を聴いたら、
良いじゃありませんか。
音質も素晴らしく良いのです。
Horn 隊もいるので、
Phish とは違う楽しみ方が出来るので、
今後もこの時代の a
Archive を続けてリリースして欲しい。
出来れば、私が観た Show がいいんですけどね。



また、2箇月前に亡くなってしまった
Bassist、RIP Tony Markellis を偲びながら
この音源を聴かせてもらいました。

Note:
Trey Anastasio Band’s October 25, 2002 show
from Stanley Performing Arts Center in Utica, NY
was a memorable performance for many reasons,
one being that during Mr. Completely,
the crowd was dancing so hard in the balcony
that it started to shake.
Fearing structural damage, the building officials asked
Trey to finish the show playing only quiet acoustic music.

とうとう楽しい企画も終了。
週末が待ち遠しい 8 週間でした。

最後は、Phish 5曲、Solo12曲
Début 2 曲で Finale でした。

最終的に、Phish 68 曲、Solo 62 曲
を演奏してくれました。
どれも、素敵なアレンジと演奏でこれからも
聴き続けていく音源になりそうです。

そして、1番多く発した単語は、
"Rescue Squad"で、
この単語で語られない周波なかったと思います。
弦楽器隊を"Rescue Squad Strings"
と名付けているようなので当然かな。



今週は、1 週目の音源から聴き直していますが、
本当に聴き惚れる演奏です。

また、毎週、数曲ずつ 4K 映像を
アップしてくれているので、
今週末は DVDR に後半戦の映像を
をまとめようと思っています。

今週は、Phish 6 曲、
Solo 12 曲 ということで、
TAB に弦楽器が加わった形で、
ソロ色が強い内容となりました。

それでも、TABの演奏で、
Phish の曲たちにホーンとコーラスが
加わると新しい息吹となり、
それはそれは素晴らしい曲に変身する。
それを聴けるのが喜び。

今回は、Curlew's Call の演奏のあとに、
日本のファンとのやり取りもありました。

この楽しい企画も残り1回となってしまいました。
最後は、どんなことをやってくれるのか今から楽しみです。

今週も10 時過ぎにスタートで、
おかしいなと思ったら、
先週でサーマータイム終わったから、
1 時間ズレたのだとの認識に至りました。

これまでで１番の出来かなと思います。
昨日のアーカイブでも触れた
YEM と FarmHouse が
この日の演奏でも良い出来でした。

特に YEM は弦楽器でクラシックス風に始まり、
3人の女性ヴーカルが加わることにより
より Funky な演奏になり、
シロのパーカッションが始まると
また違う雰囲気に発展するという
YEM 史上最高の演奏だと私は思います。

Phish の曲が15、ソロが 7 曲で、
TAB で新たに聴けた Phish の曲がどれも素晴らしい。

今のところ、音源を購入するならばこの日かなと
思いますが、実は、全部の公演が楽しいのです。

今週は、開始時間になっても Show が開始されず
これは、大統領選の影響で中止かと思いましたが、
遅れて無事開演されました。

今回は、昨年の春先に Trey が組んだ新しい Band、
Ghosts of the Forest の Show となりました。

この Band の演奏が大好きなので
嬉しい企画でしたが、Set List は
当時と変わらないものだったのが残念でした。


番外編

Show が終了してメールが届いた。
この Show の Poster 発売告知でした。
すぐにそのページに行くとまだ告知が出ておらず、
2,3分後にもう1度見たら、すでに青色は Sold Out。
なんでと思ったら、青は 300 枚限定なのでした。
もう転売目的とかしないよな。
私は、元々オレンジが欲しかったので無事購入できました。
しかし、Poster ＄50 に対して送料が＄61.74でした。
送料のランクはなく、この金額オンリーなので仕方ない。

番外編 2

Relix の 2 年間購読が夏に終わり、
もういらないなと思い購読を終了しました。
昨日、この連絡が来たので、
2 種類の表紙をチョイスし(＄19.95)、
送料がこれまた選べず＄27.75で、
＄47.70となってしまいました。
2 年間の購読で $55 程度だったことを考えると
詐欺かよという値段ですね。

もう 4 週目です。
今回は、冒頭に面白い趣向がありました。

誰もいない MSG内、
NYER 以来、髪の毛ボーボー状態で
依然と宙吊りになった Trey がいます。

地面に降りることに成功して、
人の姿がない中で、人を求めてMSG を出て、
雨の中 Beacon Theatre まで歩いて行き中に入ると、
Backに流れている 曲を演奏している TAB が現れる。

この部分は、翌日に
"43 Weeks Later at Madison Square Garden"
というタイトルで公開されているので、
興味がある方は観てください。
( 人を探しているのに街中はバスが走っていたり、
宙吊りされている状態が長い設定なのに、食料もあるし、
スイッチひとつで下に降りられてしまうという矛盾は、
突っ込まないようにしましょう　)

ただ、この音源は、
Rescue Squad >
In the House - In a Heartbeat
というタイトルになっています。

今回も弦楽器を交えた演奏が素晴らしい。
Frost あたりがとても良い感じです。
Quantegy は久しぶりに聴いたな。

今回もソロと Phish の曲数は良い感じの割合です。
あと 4 回楽しみが残っています。
来週は何をしてくれるかな。

3 週目も楽しめました。

今週は、ギターとピアノだけの演奏はありませんでしたが、
弦楽器との演奏曲が少し多かったかな。
What's the Use? から The Lizards まで 5 曲。
The Lizards の弦楽器との絡みが楽しい。
(今回は、これがベストかも)
Turtle in the Clouds のアコスティックも良いし、
Twist の冒頭は Phish とは違う演奏で面白い
初期の曲 Windora Bug も久しぶりに聴けた。

Phish 9 曲、Trey 10 曲と
バランスが取れた選曲で足し飲めました。

今週末は、Phish の Halloween 特集もあるし、
それを励みに1週間、頑張ってみますか。

先週より Show Time が 10 分ほど長いのは、
Trey の M Cが長ったからでしょう。

先週、書くのを忘れたのですが、
観衆がいない、こうした由緒ある Theatre での演奏は、
楽器の音がとてもよく響き、いつもとも違う演奏の音を
聴けて、とても幸せです。

今回は、ギターとピアノだけで演奏された
Divided Sky の酔いしれて下さい。

また、Wolfman's Brother も
(この他の曲も弦楽器が入っています)
バイオリンやチェロなどの弦楽器が加わり、
とても良い出来でした。

Cyro の打楽器も楽しい。

今週は Trey のソロの曲よりも
Phish の曲が多くチョイスされているのも良いです。

昨日からスタートした
Trey の The Beacon Jams は、
毎週金曜日 20 時(日本では土曜日 9 時)に開始、
11 月 27 日までの 8 週にわたり、
Phan を楽しませてくれる嬉しい企画がスタート。

Twitch というもので動画が観られますが、
生配信が終わると観られないみたいですが、
昨日も、夕方には、この音源が公式リリースされていました。

生配信を観て Show を楽しめたので、
すぐに音源を購入しました。

昨日の Back はほぼ TAB のメンバーでした。
インターミッションを挟まず 2 時間 24 分の Show。

1 曲目の Corona はじめて聴きました。
その他、先日リリースした
"Lonely Trip"からも数曲を披露しています。

Stach は、Trey のギターに、
クラップハンドとピアノでの演奏で、
いつもより一層 Jazzy な仕上がりになっています。

あと 7 週、楽しい週末になりそうです。
