音質は、Very Good.
この 3 Night Run は、
すでに Nights 1 (9/19). Night 2 (9/20) が
Release されており、これで Complete です。



Opner の High School Confidential や
Sweet Little Sixteen, Quarter To Three などの
Rock’n Roll をカバーして Show を盛り上げる。
当時から Bruce は、Lighting などにはこだわらず、
演奏だけで、どストレートで最高の Rock’n Roll Show
を作り上げているし、今もそれは変わらない。
演奏だけで、聴衆を興奮の坩堝に連れて行ってくるのは、
彼だけかもしれない。
Born To Run を演奏するときには、
会場の照明をすべてつけて、
聴衆の顔を見るのが最高に嬉しいそうだ。
それにしても、11 分の”Quarter To Three”
がこんなにも簡単に聴けるようになるとは、
昔からの Fan にとっては夢みたいな出来です。

グラミー賞もアカデミー賞も受賞した曲を
持つアーティストは、それほど多くないはず。
考えてみるとこれは、
モリコーネの映画音楽から学んだことを
楽曲に活かしていたのかもしれない。

まだ思い出してないものもあるかもしれませんが、
記憶を辿りながらできる限り集めました。



最近は、時間がある時に思いつつくままに、
こうした音楽整理をしている。
まとめておけば、
聴きたい時にまとめて聴けるから。
ただし、今回のコンピは、
Gary Us Bonds、Sourthside Johnny など
彼の身内的なアーティストの楽曲からの
選曲は見送っています。

すでに Archive されている
前日の Asbury Park, NJ 公演は、
スペシャルな曲構成でしたが、
この日は、平均的な Ghost Of Tom Joad Tour の Set List。



ただし、Opner は Woody Guthrie の”Tom Jord”を初演奏、
"It's The Little Things That Count," もレアトラック。
この Tour は大好きだ。
それほど曲の出し入れがない Set List なのだけど、
この季節に聴くと心に染み入る。
Album “Ghost Of Tom Joad” は名作だ。

Show Note:
Springsteen pays tribute to Woody Guthrie with a set-opening,
debut cover of "Tom Joad" on Akron 9/25/96.
Even without playing the title track,
Akron captures one of Bruce's purest
performances on The Ghost Of Tom Joad tour.
The 23-song set features eight songs from the album,
the then-unreleased "It's The Little Things That Count,"
standout readings of "Nebraska," "Atlantic City"
and "Reason To Believe," plus Born In The U.S.A. outtakes
"Murder Incorporated" and the striking "Shut Out The Light."

昨年からもう CDR ではなく、
DL 購入にしている Archive 音源。
今回は、
Wrecking Ball Tour Archive 音源。
流石、Bruce、3 時間半の Show だぜ。
しかも、かなりレアの曲も取り上げてくれている。



E Street Band の演奏もいつもとは違う
アレンジをしており、
特に "Born To Run" の頂点に行く前のパートは、
あれ、この曲はなーにと思ってしまうほどだ。

"Setlists on the second European leg of the Wrecking Ball tour varied wildly,
and thanks to sign requests it felt like anything could happen.
The Cardiff 7/23/13 show is a rambunctious romp loaded with rarities,
including a Tracks triple-shot of "TV Movie" (in its one and only performance),
"Cynthia" and "Roulette," plus "This Little Light Of Mine,"
"Boom Boom, "Summertime Blues," "Tougher Than The Rest"
and show-closing acoustic versions of "Janey, Don't You Lose Heart"
and "Thunder Road." The cherry on top is
a cover of The Animals' "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place"
with special guest Eric Burdon on vocals."

今年は、もうこのシリーズも CDR ではなくて、
DL の MP3 を購入して済ませるようになった。
庶民なので円安は相当に効くし、
もう終活を始めているので、これで十分。



本作は、11年ぶり Reunion Tour の初日の音源。
( 07/18 はすでに Release されています )

レア曲は Where The Bands Are、Freehold、Stand On It、
Youngstown のアレンンジは素晴らしい、
あとは特にこれというものはないけど、
"The E Street Band" 再結成おめでとうという感じです。
本当に素晴らしいプロフェショナルな Band です。

ジャケットのシャンしんは、きっと
"If I Should Fall Behind"を歌っているところ。
この曲は私のフェイバリットソングだな。

Darkness On The Edge Of Town  Full Album Performance です。
これで、この年に行なっていた Full Album Performance の
全ての作品が聴けたことになるのかな。
そのほかの曲では Opner の Thundercrack が秀逸でした。




当時頂いた、The River の音源は Matrix 処理されており、
Official 音質に遜色ないものだったこと、
お袋が脳死で入院していて病院に毎日通っていたこと
を思い出しました。

ちなみにこんな感じで、
全てオフィシャルで入手できます。
