The album is comprised of eight original tracks composed
by the duo and serves as a follow-up to December,
which served as an acoustic reinterpretation of Phish songs.
January was recorded and produced in January of 2023
at Trout Studios in Brooklyn, N.Y., by Bryce Goggin.
